Welcome to my web site… and my business. I am retired from the U.S. Armed Forces. ( I spent 6.5 years in the U.S. Army, and 16 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1994.) I am currently employed by General Mills, Gold Medal division, in Buffalo, NY.
It was in the spring of 2001 that I purchased my first digital camera. It was a Nikon CoolPix 800, with a resolution of 2.1 megapixles. I knew from that moment that I was a photographer. No longer bound by film…. which was no friend of mine, because of the expense of processing. I had immediate feedback with digital! I became a photo-nut. I always had to have a camera with me. In my church, I was the guy to go to for photos.
I grew to love photography more and more… so much so, that I purchased my first DSLR in 2004. It was a Canon Rebel DSLR. Then came the flashes and lenses. I currently shoot with 2 of my favorites: Canon 30D and 5D.
I have been blessed to be able to shoot many weddings and special occasions. I realized that I didn’t know all there was to know about photography, and reached out to the New York Institute of Photography and took their correspondance course. It has helped me immeasurably artistically and compositionally.
I enjoy photographing children. (How I wish I had picked up a camera when my children were small.) I also enjoy the art of photoshop to improve on a photo, or to even alter a photo vastly different from the original.
